Frankfurt, represented by the Frankfurt Convention Bureau of the Municipal Tourism + Congress GmbH and Messe Frankfurt, has succeeded in winning two internationally renowned major medical congresses for the Frankfurt location. The European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) and the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) have chosen the metropolis on the Main. This allowed Frankfurt to prevail against the recognized European competition. The annual meeting of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) will take place from 24 to 27 March 2019 at the Messe Frankfurt venues with around 6,000 participants. The European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) Congress with nearly 15,000 participants, one of the largest European medical congresses, will be hosting from 3 to 6 June 2020.
This success is the result of a strong team performance of city, venue and science, which was crucial – in addition to the location advantages accessibility and infrastructure, as well as quality and capacity of the premises.
